Works by Canadian artist and scholar John Barkley (b. 1964) are being exhibited at Couture Galleri (Birger Jarlsgatan 26) in Stockholm from 20 April to 16 May.
Electro-house, deadmau5 is playing at Söderstation on June 2nd.
Buffy Sainte-Marie, a pillar in Canadian folk music, is coming to the Stockholm Music & Art Festival, August 5th.
If you missed Feist this time, then you can also catch her this summer at Way Out West, 9-11 August in Göteborg... along with a stellar line up including Florence and Machine, Wilco, First Aid Kit and the illusive Billy Bragg.
One of the best things to come out of Alberta's soil (except for arguably oil...) Nickelback is coming to Stockholm, September 12th. Spread the word that they are CANADIAN and not yanks, as everyone here seems to believe.
The 2012 IIHF Hockey World Championships are being co-hosted this year by Helsinki and Stockholm. Unfortunately it seems Canada only plays in Finland, but pending playoffs this may change. Final games are played in Helsinki. Though there is a group that is organizing packages to follow your "team".
