The McDades are a fantastic Roots/Traditional/Folk band with members from Edmonton and Montreal, Canada. Their influences cover a broad range of artists, styles and traditions, and their music reflects this diversity. They are the recipients of a Juno Award (2007, Best Roots & Traditional Album of The Year - Group), two Canadian Folk Music Awards (2006, Best World Album & Best Instrumental Group ) and an Independent Music Award (2007, Best World Traditional Album). The McDades sont un groupe folk/traditionel/roots génial dont les membres viennent d'Edmonton et de Montréal, Canada. Ils se laissent influencer d'une variété des artistes, genres et traditions, et leur musique refletent cette diversité. The McDades ont reçu un Prix Juno (2007, album de musique roots ou traditionnelle de l'année : groupe), deux Prix de musique folk canadienne (2006, Meilleur instrumentiste -- Groupe, et Meilleur groupe -- Musique du Monde), et un Independent Music Award (2007, Best World Traditional Album). Va donc voir la site MySpace!

CanClub AGM

The Annual General Meeting will be on Friday February 19h at the Canadian Embassy (Tegelbacken 4, 7th floor) .  Please show up around 6:30pm and we'll start at 7pm.  This is for MEMBERS ONLY, so if you need to renew or join, please do, by depositing 175 for singles or 250 for a family membership to The Canadian Club of Sweden PostGiro 449794-7. 
BEvERages and Snacks will be generously provided by the Embassy and your Can Club committee.  Members Must RSVP to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it  by Feb. 16. Memberships can be purchased at the AGM. 
The AGM is the time to pass around ideas, tell us what you'd like to do/see, but most importantly vote in the committee for 2010 and make sure we keep this hodge-podge group of misfits alive! That being said, we could use some more members for events.  Them committee members we have the better we can serve you! La Réunion Général Annuelle sera tenue vendredi le 19 février à l'ambassade Canadienne (Tegelbacken 4, 7ieme étage).
SVP venir autour de 1830h et la rénuion va commencer à 19h.  Ceci est pour MEMBRES SEULEMENT, alors si vous avez besoin de renouer votre adhésion, SVP payez notre Post Giro compte 449794-7 avant la réunion.  Le pris est 175SEK simple ou 250SEK famille.
